		<description>If it&#039;s for straightforward interviews or suchlike then the Edirol gets my vote, although we actually use them and the M-Audios. But you can&#039;t beat the former&#039;s ease of use, and they&#039;re much more rugged than the R-01s that preceeded them.

The reason I was asking was that I am in the process of buying some podcast/audio equipment and am deciding between something like the Edirol R-09, the M-Audio Microtrack and the Zoom H4 recorder... so I figured the Guardian would be using a nice on-the-go device along those lines.</description>
