Banging the blog drum, Gordon Brown tells Davos: “The age of the smoke-filled room is over.”

It’s not recorded if this comment raised a laugh. But I’ve heard it said that Brown has indulged, on occasion, on some back-room manoevering of his own - stuff about getting the Prime Minister’s job, or somesuch. I can only imagine he’s referring to the forthcoming smoking ban, right?
