Delighted to see Jeff Jarvis writing in MediaGuardian today (free reg reqd) – he’s one of the most insightful new media commentators around, and his arrival will certainly raise the bar for new media commentary this side of the pond. Today’s column is a Jarvis For Beginners – a basic guide to plugging newsrooms into the web, a subject about which he’s been writing for years in one way or another on Buzzmachine. It’s a very interesting piece although, I have to confess, it’s slightly odd reading Jeff’s message, and distinctive style, in print. I’ve become very used to only seeing it only on screen.

Welcome to the digital home of Neil McIntosh. I'm the London-based editor of europe.WSJ.com. This is my personal site, a home for whatever crosses my mind. As a consequence, it is not coherent, regular, or a reflection of my employer's views.

Had no idea he was writing a regular column, thought the one you linked to was a one off. That´s great news for Guardian readers, esp. those who don´t know Jeff´s blog. A definite scoop for the Guardian I´d say. Congrats.
Your bribes are in the mail.
Thanks, folks.
