Thanks to Hugh for organising the rather wonderful geek dinner on Tuesday night. These affairs - in my experience, at least - usually happen in overcrowed, airless basements. Hugh wisely secured an entire, spacious, upper floor of the Texas Embassy restaurant just up from Piccadilly Circus.
And it was a rip-roaring success. Met lots of folk, learnt lots of interesting stuff (especially about the mysterious arts of podcasting), ate some jolly good Mexican food, and enjoyed one of their lovely frozen margaritas before stumbling home to finish a finance question for the OU. I felt the answer was quite good, although I’m less sure my tutor will appreciate my margarita-powered interpretation of derived cashflow…
